My first ever Barber coins and they were both in the same hole.

I hunted with Bryce-IL over the weekend and had a lot of fun. Being able to listen to signals when he calls me over has helped more than you can imagine.
It took me a while and it even got dark on us but I finally dug my first barber coin. In fact I dug 2 because they were in the same hole. I guess he called it a "pocket spill". The dime was 1" on top of the quarter and I nearly didn't find the quarter but I'm glad I probed the hole again before I filled it. I was hunting on the other side of the area he was and the ground seemed different than where he was hunting. The quarter was about 8" deep
I have only been hunting 3 months and hadnt found a barber coin until yesterday. Now I have 2 so I'm pretty happy. I am glad I got into this hobby and I now want to find an indian head cent very badly.
I just wish I wouldn't have seen that stupid mechanical bull at the fair.

Very nice! Consider yourself fortunate, though I'd founds many Barber dimes, it took me years to find my first Barber quarter! In fact I'd found 2 SLQ's and a Seated Q, before I finally found that Barber Q! The Barbers are my favorite coins in terms of looks! Congrats!

That's sweet Dave!! It's a great feeling to get those! I've only found the dimes so far.

Awesome finds buddy! I remember my first barber coin was a slick quarter.. I found it about three months after i started detecting as well.. I didn't even know what the heck it was lol You will get that Indian I promise.. once you find one.. they just keep coming!

:clapping:Super coins Dave. Congrats on two barbers in one hole. I'm jelous I have lots of barber dimes but the quarter has eluded me. Keep it up GL & HH

Super Job, Dave! Man, that hole was good to you. Two freakin' Barbers!!! ...and one a quarter.... Amazing! Congrats

Psssss Darrell still dont know what they are when he hunts with me haha. Now those are some GREAT finds my friend and to find two in the same hole...... sweet. 3 months in good job. You have a big jump just getting to hear one of those deep ones. A lot of people trying it on their own dismiss them as falsing or minerals and just walk on by.

well...NOT SO MUCH:bouncy:

But ya' sure did provide me with some cheap entertainment.:clapping:

...and just look at all the hayseeds and drunked up rednecks that now consider you as there idol.

I believe if you were able to walk just a tad bit better after the fall...err...I mean ride:cool:..that all those high fives you were givin' and receivin'...would have pumped you up enough for another go-around with the bull:crylol:
