My first experience with E-Trac

Ohio bud

New member
I have all of the Explorers. I have always set the threshold just under audible range so that I don't get the annoying THUMP. On the E-Trac, no matter where I set the threshold, I get most of the time an
EEETHUMP when I go over targets. In other words, I get the signal and at the end, get the THUMP. Does anyone have any idea on how to get the same clean signal, on the E-Trac as the Explorers??

Thanks, Ohio Bud

Bud. Experiment with your RESPONSE under your audio menu. Page 62 in the manual. See if one of the other settings is more to what you want.

Neb Trac, Thanks,
That that makes sense as the short response ends with blanking. I was always able to get rid of the THUMP on the Explorers by backing the threshold way down. I will give Long Response a try. I bought my E-Trac used and without an instruction manual and have to go to my computer to read the directions until I get the new one from Minelab.
