My first sword and 4 hours take.......

Went to the same old soccer park today and tried "shooter's" settings: Disc 65, notch in nickels, but, instead of Tones 2F, I used Tones 3 (so nickels would be lower). Since I had been over this area 3 or 4 times, I wasn't expecting much. But, I found my first sword!.........

A real beauty, huh? It was supposed to be a dime! In spite of no silver or copper, for 4 hours of swinging, it was a decent day.........

15 quarters, 3 nickels, 16 dimes and 9 pennies....pretty good for having pennies "out." For the first time, maybe due to the settings, I had two of the cents that VDI'd as a quarter, showing a solid 89-90 as I moved around the point. In both cases the pennies were about 2-3 inches deep and made a strong signal. I've had this happen with dimes (7 times today as a matter of fact, but, never a quarter!). Anyone ever had this happen? Using these settings, I picked up a number of quarters, dimes and nickels that had eluded me in the past. Some of the quarters were giving pretty weak signals (6-8 inches deep), as were some of the dimes (5-6 inches deep). I have to give credit to the settings for seperating all the trash and unmasking good target signals. BTW, I did find about 3 or 4 tabs that were giving a solid 29-30 VDI, convincing me they were nickels and a few others hoping for the gold!

HH to all, thanks for looking in......

No museum piece, at least, not yet. A gentleman on another forum spotted it as the "dagger" from a Clue game. This one is exactly 1 3/8" long.
