My New Gold Slayer, Equinox 800

Got my new toy ready for diving this summer. (If it ever comes!)

I have already made sure having the coil so close to the unit doesn't interfere much if any. I had to turn the sensitivity down to 20 from 22 close to my house. Maybe not in the water. I have two places this setup should work flawlessly. However one of them I might need a smaller coil to get through the weeds. I think the 6" will be too small and I might have to find an aftermarket 8"

I have never used a double D coil underwater and this will all be new to me.

Probably. Although I can say in one place I hunt the Detroit River, I will be bombarded with signals. But I have been taking it to campgrounds and have had the same problem. I can pull silver and gold out of iron with my Tiger Sharks and CZ]'s and I am sure I can pull more out with this one. Time will tell.

I have been in two campgrounds exclusively with the critter and so far have 25 silver coins. Bottle tops are worry some. I am hoping they won't be too plentiful. Nails are though. Can't wait to get this wet. Will see how bad it drives me crazy in the river.

Do you wear a mask and/or a snorkel? I was looking to some creek hunting and need a mask and snorkel but didn't know if it would get in the way of headphones. Any ideas?
