My new Macro Lens.................

I acquired a mint, like new condition Minolta MD Macro 50mm F3.5 lens with the extension tube and case. It was manufactured in the early 1980's and I will have to use an adapter to mount it to my Sony A300 DSLR camera. This lens is known for producing sharp, detailed, colorful close-up pictures, as well as good landscape pictures. Now I need to build a camera stand or locate a used one on Craig's List. I have always wanted to try my hand at taking good bug pictures, and it looks like I will now be giving it a try. I will do a Google search for articles on Macro Photogaphy and learn all I can about it before giving it a try. Kelley (Texas)

It just happen to come with the lens when I got it. Many folks mount a UV filter or something similar to protect the front glass from damage, but I do not do that. Kelley (Texas)
