My oldest find

I've been hunting a lot of fields along the Juniata River the past few years and have come away with some good finds. My relic that I posted didn't turn out so good so I thought I would post my oldest find to gain back a little self respect. The 5 on the date is upside down and I was wondering if this was common for Spanish silver or is this an error. Thanks TMAC

Wow, that is one great looking coin.

What's something like that worth??? That is in great shape for the age of it and thanks for sharing this find with us. Continued Success, Good Luck and HH along that River.:detecting:

we've all found items that turn out to be something much more modern than what we originally thought...mine was a reale coin on the beach in Bermuda that turned out to be a modern copy -- after I cleaned it up I could clearly read the word "COPY" near the bottom

Your reale coin on the other hand is gorgeous......I'm in northern NJ - le's hunt together sometime!

Thanks guys and gals. Erik anytime your coming through central Pennsylvania let me know. Im sure we can dig something up. TMAC

Appreciate it TMAC - I'm sure I can learn a lot from you as you seem like a great detectorist - I've been at it for 10 years with the Explorer, but there's always room to learn.....I'll definitely give you a shout if I get out that way....PM me if you come out this way too!
