My SE paid for itself today... not in $ but in worth !

Most of my favorite sites have been pounded hard, by ME. I have had this SE for several weeks and really have not had a good place to check it out. Today I went to a place I have hunted hard for over three years. It is a four acre site.

I have found loads of CW relics there and the spot I was hunting today has been hunted, by me, at least 50 times.

I found a nickel at about 6" with the SE. I cannot tell you how happy that made me. I have hunted this spot, like I said, many times wtih a T2, a Tejon, a SovereignGT, and a F75.... the SE found a nickel !!!!

That is exactly what I wanted from this machine. I am very happy with this nickel !

I was using the 10.5 slimline coil. I have a 6" Excellerator but I really prefer the stock coil. It seem's to work very well in heavy trash.

Curious to how you feel the F-75 and explorer compare. I have a zillion hours on the explorer and only a few dozen on the 75.

Keep us posted

Yes i agree with you 100% this is where the explorers really shine - on worked and re worked sites they can find stuff missed by other detectors.

In most situations I prefer the F75. It is more versatile, lighter, and so much faster. Part of the reason may be because I am so much more experienced with the F75. I try to use the SE every day but I still find more with the 75.

Try the F75 in disc, sens 75-90, disc 0, notch 1, 1 tone, DE or JE... it will calm down when you start swinging. Check out all the signals that jump up above 20, especially those that get above 40. You'll be surprised at all you will hear running like this. You have to keep your eye on the TID since you are in 1 tone but it will bring new life to worked out sites.
