Was surfing the net to kill time, seen this bike on kijji, defitnitly looks Asian? the add said around 6 grand but no name I know, not really interested but may go to the store to look at bikes, really interested in a Sportster at the moment..but half the Sportster for sell have some upgrades, may bite the bullet and buy new.... but only on the back burner for now.. happy new year folks, enjoy the reading here. oj

Not necessarily too small...depends of how you are going to use it. It would be just fine for riding around town, to and from work or just cruising around town. However, you might want to consider a bigger and heavier bike if you are going to be riding the open roads in the country. Kelley (Texas) :)

Hi Fred, so many different bikes out there, but your right, I'm interested in short day trips, so would most likely go for more cc's, I don't think I would be able to have on the road too many months, maybe the summers.. cheers Orlando bc

Sportsters out there with little miles on them for 5 grand or less. Usually the 883cc models. Up here they call them a chic bike, but they run fine, look good.
A lot of them are garage queens in that they seldom get ridden and they just wax them. I found 3 last year I bought and sold with less than 1000 miles on them.
I get them for resale. I like the heavier bikes and 1500cc V twins for the open road. I did almost keep a Screaming Eagle Sportster, but once again, I bought it for $5,500 and sold it for $6,500 in one day. Never even got it off the trailer. Really sharp looking bike and I would have road it. Fun on back roads and they really are eye catches. They make a nice 1200 cc low rider in sportster also. I could live with it if set up right. They are not smooth like the Jap bikes but do carry that image that many are looking for. For the same money you can get a almost new 1200 to 1500 cc Jap Road bike used. trouble free, many shaft drive.

Just my thoughts on it. Bikes are personal for most of us. I see a lot I like but am really happy with the Victory. 23,000 miles, trouble free.

Good luck in your search for one. Thats half the fun and some great buys for the next 3 months, then they go back up again. Often, my winter bike purchases
pay for my summer day dreams. always got guys at the club saying . hey, keep and out out for this or that at this price. I don't mind a quick profit at all for zero amount of work.

George

as you mentioned on the other posts, bikes or personnel, just like the looks of the Sportsters, and winter may be a good time. oj

ps but having owned some Japanese equipment, do know how durable they can be, have had equipment last for decades .
