need answer from etrac profies

hello all experienced etrac users who used before explorers. I have explorer and tested max manual sensitivity 32 without discrimination,ferrous,1050coil in highly iron infested field, where before I hunted many times. I dug more targets, but speed was like snail! can etrac make my speed a bit faster or help me in this strange max sensitivity settings.. I know my explorer 100% and use in different settings, but mostly without discrimination-ferrous, sens. manual, but if I lift sensitivity from 24 up in iron I have to slow speed very much, how behaves etrac in high manual sensitivity in iron? thank you all Stasys

The use of Two Tone Ferrous has been highly discussed and debated here on the forum and many posts can be searched back and read that will help you. I don't read that many folks are running the E trac at the highest sensitivity regardless of suggested sensitivity on the E trac. I have experimented with that in ONE of my spots and yes sometimes I believe I am getting more depth but it takes every thing I have to concentrate, check the signal, re check, listen to all the chirps, falsing and so on as it is very VERY unstable and noisy. But once a target does hit I take a long time to mess with the machine and check to see if it is a real target.

Like I say I only do this in one of my areas with very deep targets and lots of iron. And still I am not maxed all the way up On Sensitivity even then as It is too much. Perhaps if you are used to doing this it might make it easier and you could go longer periods of time. I only do it for a while then I relax and lower the sens for a while. I do this by grid then I reset the machine like that and go over it again. I am finding maybe one target for 3 hours like that. Might sound like work but If your a shovel head you know why I do it.

Lets see if any one else has success with high sens.

Thanks for answer utahshovelhead. yes my explorer is Xs but I tested with SE and its the same except pin point and other not important things. about Ferrous I am confidant its works very good better then conductive where I have to dig all signals no different what can it be, its aloud me to use explorer without discrimination, one minus with ferrous in iron for not clean signals hear in Europe, we have hammered coins, some are very small and very thin and near iron it can make low tone a bit like iron but Little bit higher. but ferrous works i tested with iron peaces and coins in my made air tests even if some writes that its not works like conductive......some where hear was big big post about ferrous and conductive.. ferrous is even better if you use audio 1-smooth, but its very hard to detect long periods and I do Audio 1 in very special places where I know should be something. lets go back to etrac, anybody experienced big different jumping from explorer to etrac? I know pro coil is more sensitive and is hard to compare with 1050 and slim, I tested my explorer xs with etrak for death its the same with the same coil, but can etrak be better in iron or a bit faster in near max sensitivity? I just reached explorer possibility's, can I gain something from etrac using without discrimination? or its not much better?or should I stay with explorer and safe 1000$ fro second hand etrac? thank you all etrak maniacs.
