Need First Time Beach Hunting Advice Please

Well-known member
The wife and I are going to try a little beach hunting tomorrow at a nearby lake, and there is
lots a sand. Neither of us have ever beach hunted. I borrowed a sand sifter from a friend.
Any advice on "Settings" with our two detectors would be helpful. This will be her 3rd time detecting.
My is the Equinox-600 with stock Coil
Hers is the Vanquish 540 Pro with stock Coil

Salt water or fresh water.
on Lk Michigan I use park one in or out of the water. it’s fresh water.

I agree with Donut. In fresh water, I use either Park or Field...same as land hunting. Experiment with Park 1 for the beach and Field 1 in the water. Adjust according to local conditions....recovery speed, sensitivity and iron bias.

Just the view from my foxhole....good luck
