Need help with my pro-pointer....:sadwalk:

Went on a hunt yesterday. About 15 minutes into the hunt the pointer started going crazy. It would go off like an alarm clock and then switched over to a loud noise. The noise never ended if I just waited for it to stop. I could turn it off and the noise would go away, but it would come right back on once I resumed looking for a target. It only gave me about 5 seconds to find it before the alarm clock went off.

Has anyone else ever had this happen? Could it be because the batteries are almost dead? I've never let it fall in water. Most water its ever gotten is when I washed it. Should probably wash it more often now that I think about it. Any other ideas on what could be wrong? Please help!

Thanx in advance.

Its probably the low battery alarm. Its a high low repeating tone.

Time to use new batteries !

Low batteries was my first thought.

I went out today and got rained out. Some moisture
got into the pinpointer because for awhile I could not hear the
beeps. The only thing that worked was the vibrating. After it dried out it was fine.
I think the next time it starts to rain I'll wrap sandwich wrap around it to keep the
moisture out.

My battery is still going strong, even after two weeks of intense MDing, but
I shut the porpointer off after every use. Some people just keep it on constantly.

Yep, the alarm clock means low battery.

If you don't have a fresh battery handy turn it off for a bit and then use it quickly and you can get a few more retrievals with it.

Need help? The battery cover is located on the bottom end of the unit. It unscrews, one 9v battery is all you need.........

The next time I try to use the pro-pointer in a drizzel I'll wrap it
in clear sandwich wrap. The pointer is too expensive to have to
replace it.
