Need help with this 1914-D wheat

I know this is going to sound funny but, I have used it many times and, the results are awesome.
Take a raw potato and take the copper cent and put it all the way into the potato.
Let the coin stay in there for 12 hours.
Take the coin out and rinse it off with cool water.
Now, put the coin back into the potato in a different part.
Do this until you get the coin the way you want.
It works "great"

everytime I have tried this method I ended up with a shiny copper coin, it stripped all the patina from it

Great job on the clean-up. I believe the wheatie cleaned up nicely. I just wish I could find some places to hunt.
