Need info on Garmin 62st

Bought an Garmin 62st for my wife and I to use for trips, metal detecting, genealogy work, etc. When I set it up initially, I think I made some goof-ups. Is there a way to return it to it's fresh from the factory setting and re-set it the correct way. I am having a little trouble understanding some of the terminology and really want it done right..
