Need inputs, detectors not turning on.

Steve In Michigan

I have 2 older detectors, 1 GTA500 and the GTI2500. For some reason they will not power up. Both seemed to have gone down at the same time. I haven't used them in a couple years (knee problems with both knees) new batteries, and I got the last set of new battery holders from Garret. I was told the stopped making the battery holders 2 years ago. Any thoughts or ideas?

I got some battery holders from Amazon when I needed some, first set I wasnt thinking and they had 3 batteries on each side, so I had to reorder the right one. Garretts battery holder were the same one I used on my Sovereigns and I think other detector use them too.
That is the first thing is the holders and new battery's as many of the holder crack on the bottom and cant hold the battery tight.

Hi Steve.
For how long were they not battery-operated?
