In need of both battery boxes for a Fisher CZ-7a QuickSilver. Please. I just found this at a yard sale. Want to see if it works. It also needs the plastic screw and wing nut that holds coil on arm. Please and thank you.

For the coil hardware; get some nylon hardware at a hardware store.

The picture looks like a battery box is there. Is it just a cover missing? Should be able to test it without the covers.

It has 2 prongs on top. There is no box to put battery’s in to snap in. I have both covers. How many and what batteries does this one take?

It is missing the box that contains the batteries. Then they snap in. I have never had the Cz7a with that battery setup. Fisher had battery drain issues and changed to the battery on the underside of control box.Fisher will do limited service on Cz3Ds , and no longer services the cz5,6, 7, 7a Pro , 70 pro. They do not have parts. You might be able to take it to a CB radio repair shop that might be able to come up with a possible fix to use 2 9 volt batteries.

I'd set it up with AA batteries rather than 9 volts. Batteries will cost a lot less that way.

Although the manual says it uses one 9 volt battery per side.

I have a CZ7 it takes 12 AA batteries, six per side and yours looks similar. I bought replacement battery holder from a Company called Mouser but that was ten years back. They used to sell electronic parts. So search for that name and add electronic parts or battery holders. Good luck.
They may also go by company name Digikey

Looks like 9v batteries,If the battery contact blades are present in both battery compartments you can use foam or pieces of a pool noodle and wedge the batteries in place to test it
