New coil for the F75?

I heard talk on another forum that Fisher might be coming out with a new coil for the F75 ltd. Can anyone confirm this?

Well are there any other coils out on the market that will increase performance over the stock coil?

The stock coil on the f75 is a VERY good coil in my opinion. The boost mode gets very deep. The 5" coil coil in boost is getting reviewed to be hitting coins at 8-10 inches. I don't know what else you could ask from a 5" coil. Thats very impressive in my book.

But no, I don't know of any other coils, yet.

I hope so and I hope it's something to replace the stock 11" DD, I still can't pinpoint worth a hoot with that big thing. Ron in WV

Ron in WV if you use the red dot on the coil as your pp mark then turn 90*
and repeat you should be right on it.
This works well on deeper targets .

Okay gmanlight, I will give it a try. I think I see where this is going and what I have been down wrong. I am from the old school detectors with round coils and I always do side to side center and then forward and backward for center that direction, X marks the spot. From what I read in your tip is the side to side works on this egg shaped coil but it does not from front to back.

Thanks for the tip. Ron in WV

it works juat as well front to back as side to side. you just have to detune the machine a bit to get better resolution. release and repull the trigger a couple of times while a bit off center of the target. every time you release and repull the trigger it will detune it a bit more. When you get it detuned enough.......you'll see how you can zero in on the target. It will be dircetly under the dot on the coil.

To try to figure out the spot or place on the coil , take a lead sinker--not to big to keep yours from being blown off--put it down on the clear spot on the ground, now you can see the target and now practice pinpointing that sinker and the use a majic marker and put your mark where you want it. Generally works like a charm-----------------Barney
