New Deus user, first time out

So, I'm coming back to detecting after a 7 year break; I decided to get a new machine to play with. My last one is the DFX (still have it and will keep it). After much research I went with the Deus, mainly due to it's performance and packability for hiking in to remote areas. Thanks to Charlene and Andy for helping me out! I've been reading the manual and book for a couple nights and watching videos too. Today was a sunny day near 50 with snow melting, so I decided to go try the shoreline of our local lake. The water level is down quite a bit, exposing about 15' of normally covered land around the lake. I figured it was a sure spot to get a variety of targets and try the Deus out. I pretty much dug everything unless it was clearly iron, and will continue to do so as I learn the machine. I spent about 2.5 hours covering about 700' of shoreline. I love the way the MI6 works with the Deus! Sweet operation! I can now keep my headphones on, no chatter from the detector while pinpointing, etc. Slick! Here's the haul. The neatest whatisit for me was the round copper thing with patent info on it. It turns out that it is part of a thermos.

The Deus is a great machine - ultra light weight and a pleasure to swing !
