New E-Trac questions

Kevin B.

New member
I have an E Trac on the way and am anxious about getting started. From my internet research, mostly info gained from readin E-trac user's posts, it seems that the E-trac can be quite a study. I look forward to learning it. But is there a way that I can get started right away? I have a couple of places that yielded some silver dimes and wheaties with my ACE 250 and I'd like to go around those sites with my E-trac.......sooner the better, naturally.
Is there any info that you can give to a guy who is new to the E-trac to help him get started? Thanks. Kevin

The GB is taken care of through the electronics. And Auto Sensitivity is also adjusted via software. So if you're anxious to get started, you can be pretty effective using the factory Coin Program. The more you learn about the functionality, the better equipped you'll be to adjust the E-TRAC for the types of places you hunt. But if you are that anxious to get hunting, the stock settings are a good starting place. JMHO HH Randy

Agreed completely.]

slow the coil down and listen for the high-pitched squeaks on the deep silver.... learning curve isn't really too bad... probably requires more patience than anything else.. Richard

I'm virtually a newbie too Kevin! This is still obsessing me...even after 1

I think the E trac is pretty easy to turn on and go have fun its mainly a patience thing to get used to it over what you have been using and you learn the sounds and behaivor as you go just like any other device.

have fun thats whats important.

Go get ya a 8 pack of AA batteries . If you want to hit the ground running ! It takes 18 hrs to charge the rechargeable that comes with it .
Go to youtube and search e-trac there's plenty to watch to keep your fever up till it gets there !

Kevin,
I've had mine for a few weeks now and learning more each time out.... one suggestion, make sure you have a GREAT digging tool man, the depth is unbelievable on this thing!!!
