Just got my ET last week. It did not turn on. Called support and was told to open the case to see if anything was loose. Didn't see anything but after putting it together I slapped the side of the housing and it came on. Had to do this a couple times but now it starts every time. It suggests to me something was loose. Anyway, I took it out for a spin (before reading the manual completely) to test it and everything seemed to work ok. Today I was air testing some coins with different settings. There is a "coins" setting and a "coin mode" setting. Looks like the "coin mode" setting accepts a few more targets. Air tested a silver dollar with each one. The "coins" setting got no response until the dollar was about an inch from the coil. Close to overload. Is this supposed to happen. The crosshair is very near the black part of the pattern but I should think a "COIN" setting would find a large silver dollar. As I had trouble with it starting I am trying to find out if it is working correctly. Also the ID doesn't change sometimes when I go over a second coin. I have to pass over the second coin again to get the correct ID. Is this just a normal delay or is my machine off in some way.
Thanks.
Thanks.
