"Great! I'm looking forward to it after predicting one almost a year ago!

Which machine did you nearly pull the trigger on Jason? Hmmm... let me guess? Beginning with 'I' ending in 'T'..."

It doesn't say that the one shown in the video clip is the same one being released?

Saw on another MD'ing site the GTI2500 will be officially discontinued on May 6th. Does
that mean their are going to incorporate the Treasure Imaging feature into this new one?
Hope they do and add more to this already awesome feature! Been a fan since the GTI 2000
was released.

That was a great feature. Still have my GTI 2500 hanging on the wall. It's the only detector that literally "Talks" to me!

Humble opinion here ...

That's the best idea Garrett could have right now (speaking as a GTI2500 user).

Bring out a detector with:

... Imaging, showing the target's size and depth,

... Numeric readout, actual numbers instead of segments,

and hopefully:

... Dual frequency to help on salt beaches,

... Lightweight. (Wow, that's a lot of batteries in the GTI2500.)

Maybe they'll still need a 3-element coil (one TX and two RX windings), which adds to the coil's cost. Also maybe they can still use the GTI2500 coils. Lots of "maybe" stuff in there.

Bottom line: Show the target's depth and size. Make it lighter. Hopefully, include an effective salt mode.

Can't wait. Where does the line start forming to buy one?

Ya gotta give John-Edmonton a break. I'm sure if he tells then he doesn't get to play with the new toys.

Latest video zeroes in on the person carrying the detector and frankly, it doesn't look any different from current AT format?

Anyone have more accurate info about it? Or is it a ruse and they release a totally different format???"

Here's what I saw ..
