GPR is the way of the future for all detectors. I know Whites is working on one but it is all hush hush. Accurate locator's of Oregon has GPR units but they are so expensive and not set up for the coin shooter. Even if minelab created a machine that couldn't tell the difference between bottle caps or deep and shallow targets..Bring it on I would LOVE to have one that had GPR! Especially if the price was within a reasonable range. X ray detecting how cool would that be!!

You guys make me smile.:heh:

Dont hold your breath while waiting for a replacement for the Special Edition.:rofl:Jerry.

Minelab, I believe, has a time frame of generally 1 1/2 yrs. after the introduction of a new detector, to bring out the "New & Improved" model...At least that seems to be the trend with their GP series... How long has it been? I have just recently gotten interested in the Exp. series...so I don't know...I do know I like what all of you say about them...
