I don't mind getting out in the rain and I'd just be happy with a better quality, highly water resistant/proof cover.

The Minelab one is ok in the rain if you treat it with waterproofing spray, water just beads and rolls off. But it doesn't last long.

I'd pay the extra money for a Gortex cover in the same style as the current one, 100% water proof without the need to treat it.
