Hello to all and Happy New Year:

Just got a new Ace 250 today in the mail. Have it assembled and will be out in the yard in the AM with some coins , rings, and things to see what it can do. I have also been given an old SEA HUNT MARK II about 2 months ago and have started to pay for the new rig already....found almost 1.00 in coins.. The Sea Hunt is not water proof any more as the coil plug has come lose from the control housing. I would like to do some in water hunting. Will Garrett be able to get it back to being submersible ?? Hope to be at the beach this Friday with both and hope the wind chill is above 50 degrees here in Gulf shores AL........ Dan'l

[size=large]welcome to the hobby and the forum. Garrett is good but i don't see them fixing your machine before this week-end. it won't be they wouldn't try but the slow mail too and from is the real problem. all ya can really do is call them and let them tell ya what they can do for you.
Happy Hunting

Welcome to the forum. Feel free to ask for advice anytime. Have fun at the beach!:detecting:
If I were you, I would use the Ace up in the dry sand and the MKll in the wet sand.
Happy Hunting!:)

If you are new to the hobby you're gonna love that Ace 250. It's a real coin hound except for nickles....They show up as pull tabs and no matter how ambitious you start out you eventually get sick of digging them and start sluffing off on them. Thus, not so many nickles. It is right on with quarters though. 99 out 100 times if it says it's a quarter, it is. Good luck and stick with it until you learn the machine.
