One big thing is you should become aware of any Federal and or State, County, or City antiquities Laws. I don't know much about detecting Florida but out here in the West, there are miles and miles of Government (public) land and there are federal Law people who are often out and about looking for violators of these Acts. The consequences of violating these Acts can be pretty rough like confiscation of your equipment including your vehicle and or jail with fines.
