Today was my first day out with my black dog (T2 SE), and I will like to take a moment here to give credit to who deserves, TerraDigger: thank you a lot!!
few days ago I posted some information about getting my new machine and TerraDigger was so kind that he send me a lot of information about how to run this fine machine and I have to said these thank's to that today was a good hunting day.
at first got to the park and as I let the black dog loose it starter to sharter a lot, it was so loud that I was thinking that it was somthing wrong with it, then I remember the first thing to do,(serch for the best frequency) and ohhh boy my dog got silent, then I increase the sensitivity and performed ground cancell, and it was ready, I was using descrimination to 50 and sensitiviti to 75-80, 3 tone and I got more clud than ever before.
Now one question that I have is this, when there is tone but no VDI it is because it's falsing?
Now I know that with this type of training My Black Dog will be sniffing the good stuff in no time!!

Like you all can see This new black dog is going to be great.
so tomorrow I will take my wife and introduce her to her new Dog.

glad your liking your new machine i agree terradigger is always positive and helpfull great person no doubt, i think disc at 50 is good for cherry picking in cleaner more hunted out areas ive been using 1+ tones disc at 21 dig every thing that gives a good tone and that pinpointes good got two small gold rings that gave a tid in the fourties and alot of deeper nickles will read in the thirties, good hunting.

The no VID with a tone may be a very deep target. The T2 audio response goes deeper than its VID capabilities. Being a very deep target is a possibility. Not an absolute, There are many variables involved such as the machines settings, soil mineralization and type of target being detected.
I recommend you dig several of these to find out what the machine is responding to for your particular area. Its the only way to know for sure.

And yes, it could be falsing. Before you dig a wasted effort, deep empty hole.....switch to the all metal mode to make sure there is a target under the coil.

Thank you TerraDigger and ez4sure I will keep this in mine and will try today the 1+ tone at 21 disc and dig every target to get the fill of it including the ones that are reporting VDI. Yes Elton with this information that I got the learning cunb is going to be easy!

you said the deeper nickles were reading in the 30's did they also give the iron tone or is the tone i.d. correct. thanks
