took it on it's maiden voyage saturday to my favorite hunted to death park.managed some clad,a 34 merc and a 57 rosie.i was running stock coin/jewelry with tone id on.this thing really likes bottle caps as they id as coins for some strange reason.my question is,is there a way to set the tone id closer to that of the dfx?my dfx had an almost musical tone on silver but the v3 is just a higher pitched beep without the tell tale warble of the dfx.i kinda miss that sound.i have more questions but i'll stop with that one for now.

You can change the tones to match the DFX, you just need to know the DFX tones.

page 49 of your manual.

Sounds like youre doing pretty goo with it so far!! Keep at it!

The bottlecap sounding like a quarter is the downside of a DD/SEF coil. The dead giveaway that you have a bottlecap is that 22.5 kHz will be dominate instead of 2.5 kHz when you pinpoint it.
