Any suggestions for detecting around Rindge? Anyone near there want to do some detecting?

Five more years until I can escape this state for good.

What are the laws regarding detecting in state parks, etc.?

Some say yes, some say no. Best to ask at each place you want to detect.
Your best bet is to ask permission at private property. Other places are mostly hunted hard.
Remember, My dealer has been in business here for 35 years and was very active himself.

I'm thinking of heading up there to talk to him early in the trip. That's presuming he's usually in the shop. Is that the case? They're probably not open Sundays, right?
