Nickels IDed at 18/20

So I got two good Nickels today, the odd thing is they IDed at 18/20 in three directions, did not try 4th. Sounded great and were only about 4 inches deep.
I got
1900 and 1918S nickels
3) 1919S 2) 1917s 1)1956 pennies
and a
1943 New Zealand 1 Shilling (crazy)
and a real nice gilded button

only 2 memorials and only 2 clad dimes(WOW)

It was a real good hunt overall.

I KNOW pics or it didn't happen but I am working on it, the iMac software and I can not quite figure out how to resize correctly.

Makes me wonder how many i may have passed up. Probably not to many I try to dig repeatable signals.

I've had the same thing happen using the 6" 18.75 KHz coil especially on shallow coins hunting in high sensitivity. In fact, I have dug nickels from +10 to +20. They always sound more solid to me than pull tabs. Been suprised by a few gold rings digging these numbers.

It did sound very "solid". Most of the 18/20 are pull tabs, ring pull missing the tail. These did sound better some how.

I can always seem to "call" a nickel before I dig it regardless of the number for some reason, they just have a distinct sound. Very sharp/short sound.

Dug a 14k gold wedding ring with the 3kHz coil.@ 18 to 20.

With the 7.5kHz stock coil it would have been be a 12.
