night out with the sef 12x15

i had to try the sef out so i headed to one of my worked out schools.
3 hours later and little soreness from the extra weight i had managed to find some goodies.
I like this coil a bunch. it seems to separate very well and hits hard on targets.
i need more time on it to really give a good report but as of now its a winner.
the last 4 times i had gone to this old school i didn't find anything, so to pull out this stuff really showed me what the 12"x15" sef can do. most of the old coins were in the 6 - 10 inch range and id was spot on with them all.
I did have a small problem pp targets but it wasn't bad. i kept digging in from of the target so after a bit of playing learned to pp with it and not miss the target.

one nickle signal fooled very badly i pp it and it was down about 11" and finally when i got it out of the hole it was a very old pull tab ugh but i know the coil will get down there.

i also had a visit by the pole-lice tonight. one of the families across from the school was worried i was up to no good but after a friendly visit and talk about detecting the officers drove off.

I too noticed I found coins that I either missed with the Pro coil...or it simply didn't hit on them. I wonder if the different design of the butterfly coils gives them an advantage. Not sure about that. But I am sure I've found some good old coins with it.
