Non-Whites Coils, Good or Bad ?

widebody

New member
[size=large]i saw a statement recently that said non-whites coils on whites machines could or would de-tune the machine. can anyone confirm this or know whether it's false or what? i'm sure an awful lot of folks NEED to know one way or the other.

That is Bull..... I have heard a couple of comments like this lately, where are you getting this info?

"After market loops not specifically made for V3 will struggle a bit, especially at 22.5 kHz, both with gain setting and with VDI accuracy. Even so, I've found the after-market loops I've tried -- Bigfoot, SEF, and SunRay -- to be very usable- Carl"

Carl is the Managing Engineer of White's and although this comment was made for V3i users, the last part of his quote covers other White's detectors as well.

[size=large]i did ask if it's true or not.it's not my intent to spread bull but to get the correct info out there. i do that by asking questions seeking the answers from those who know. thanks for the info. if i could remember which forum i saw the remark i'd let you know but i can't find it. really don't need it now.
