Hello all!
Got our for the last day of Thanksgiving Weekend... I started at a school across the river that I had hunted many times with my XT70...
It wasn't long before I got a few wheats... in fact the first one was a '15D... Then out popped this BSoA item...
I thought it was new but the PAT 1911... ?? Is it new or old ???
Then this is about penny size and was @ 8"
Then I nabbed my 1st silver for the day @ 5-6"
I got a few more wheats and noticed I only had one bar on my battery... I did not recharge them last night....
So I had to head home as I was bad and did not pack batteries.... DoH!
I get out the batteries... but... only 90 minutes of light left so I head back to the near by school that I've been working...
Wheat... wheat... wheat... them memorials @ 5-8"... What THE!@!
a few more wheat... I figure I have 15 minutes left and I'm set on getting another silver! So I relocate and get a wheat and circle around from there... and I get a signal that sounds great @ 5-6", but is reading 12/29... ahhhh... sounds great in both directions, but there is a 12/37 close... a zinc penny... back... still reads 12/29 and I read TRUST YOUR EARS OVER the numbers.... I pop the plug and wahoo!!
I ended up with another 15 wheats... '15D and '18... rest were 35-57...
