So today went to a park that was a farm land and turned park in the sixties. I talked to the grounds crew and detecting was permitted. I located the old farm house on map and asked the grounds folk if it was accurate and they said yes it was where map indicated. They also preceded to tell me im the one thousandth guy to take a detector over it. So I walked over to the area and started to swing and started to get tons of hits and lots of nulling. I then went to programs and selected two tone as prescribed by G4E that I saved a month ago. Went like this grunt grunt grunt everywhere finally got a squeak of high tone started to walk circles over it and doing minni sweeps to iso the target. Kept getting 12 40 at eight inches. Wheat penny. 1919. after half hour of this hit two more wheats. Kept plugging along with hundreds of low tones and numerous high tones that were reading 12 19 12 10 12 08 finally heard squeak 12 45 well you guy know the rest. pictures to follow soon. Thanks guys! could not have done this with out you. The ground was difficult due to cinders and numerous bits of trash.

in an area like that u need to be checking all signals, those low tones could be buttons, gold, fatty indians, flying eagles.....just to name a few
 
Oh I agree I should have dug a lot more but got off midnight turn and have a tendencie to start digging next thing I know its noon! ha ha told myself I could hunt for hour and half no more. I will be going back but no hurry jeesh for how well that set up worked looks like I just got a bunch of new spots to hunt. Once again thanks guys great group of fellas on this board.

I dig just about everthing in the 12s as long as these old legs can handle it. Ive had some great surprises. Congrats on your finds!!!
