Off to Alaska!

Fishing rod in one hand and Mder in the other! I leave tomorrow for five weeks in the frozen North, and yes I'm just braggin, but I will let you all know how I do with both hands. I am going to take my stock coil and my 8X6 but am thinking I will leave the 15" WOT. Any and all advice is welcome! I just hope I can get all the Halibut and gold nuggets home:detecting:

I live in Fairbanks, AK as a kid. I miss Alaska, I remember there was always Moose in the backyard and all we did for fun was prospecting and a little hunting.

I dont know if it is still the same, but a very normal way of transportation at -50 was dog sleds. Good memories!

What part of Alaska are you going to?
