Oh Man.....Has it been a long winter....

If you are talking to me Bob...Yes of course you can hunt the beaches in winter. The tide comes in and goes back out.......melting all the snow that lands on the sand. It is only the very top part of the beach that the sand will be frozen. I usually hunt from mid beach then towards the water...still diggable sand....not frozen at all....on freaky warm days it can be very nice and relaxing.....but when its very cold my hipwaders are on and nice warm coat and gloves....and a ski mask to cover the face and ears I am sure I look funny but I am not there to impress the Babes...it can tend to be more exercise than fun but thats ok when there is gold showing up in the scoop. The waders are super warm and waterproof so I don't have to act like a sandpiper running up and down the beach avoiding the surge of the waves. The beach is the only outlet to cabin fever during the winter....if I couldn't hunt beaches then I would go nuts.....:rage:
