OHIO Beanfield Part Two Day One

Hello All: Finds were few but I did get a couple keepers. My first one was one for the record books, I just started a new field and my first target came in a strong 12-24 1" deep. As I was getting read to dig, when I saw the target a flat button stuck into a corn stalk I just had to stand there and look at it for a minute. It must had been unearthed and run-over by one of the tractors. The rest of the day was just fine great weather, and open fields. The rest of the finds were, 1876 Indian Head(missed the Holy grail by one year), 1848 LC(toasted), a Nice Eagle/Cannon button (maybe some one can ID when it was in service) more flat buttons several with lots of gilding, one brass key several marbles and a 1928 Wheat-back. Hope the Rain holds off tomorrow, I have Three more days here. Wish me Luck and HH Jack

A really good group of finds. I especially like the eagle/cannon button. Keep us informed on what turns up next.

Awesome field day - the button in the picture is an early artillery button - war of 1812 - sweet! Love that token as well. Nice job!
