I've mentioned in the past about trying to cherry-pick the silver and wheats out from all the junk and was fairly successful again this morning... but.. what are ya guys really finding with vdi #'s at 17,18 ,19 ,20 21... I'm wondering how much gold I may have passed up ( if any ) at those readings... Can't dig everything , I'd litterely come home with 500 pieces of Sh*t..

Mark- I'm finding pop tops, beaver tails at 17,18. Usually reject them once familiar with the tid and sound. Haven't found anything recent at 19, 20,21, but as with any uncommon number, I would dig them out of curiosity.

beaver tails have been hitting at 12-13.. which is exactly where nickles hit on my safari... I know guys are digging nicks at 15 but for whatever reason, ( probably my soil ) 15's are 95% of the time ..NEVER a nickle..usually pull tabe with the beaver tail attached..

Tried some 22's and 23 vdi's and turned out to be gold rectangulat pop tops...

I'd bet my bottom dollar there 1-2 gold bands or class rings mixed in with all the B.S... Its ruff going.. but sure beats work !!

Agree with that additional info but my Jersey nickels always read 14 and may bounce to an occasional 15. I always take worn coins of several denominations for testing into a new site to get their stats when hunting.
