Ok, here's my dilemma..

For the past 10 years I used a Shadow X5 with good results. As many of you may know, it was a very deep seeking detector with real good target separation.

So now I'm looking for something that's at least as good. maybe an Omega 8000 or fisher F70.

I'm pulling the trigger on a new detector early next week so all of your opinions matter. I do general hunting, coins and relic. How is depth and target separation on those two detectors?

n/t

I've owned an X5 but didn't use it much. I'm guessing you would like the F70 the best but if coin ID is what you want go with the Omega.

I had the same Dilemma. I used an X5 for close to 10 years before I made the switch to the T2 SE. Big difference. Went back to some fields I hammered with the X5 and pulled more stuff out with the T2. I reccomend it!

John, tell us how you plan to use the detector. That's what we need to know. I owned both of these units. Each one has plus's & minus's...depending on how/where they are used.

John feel free to call me but REALLY look in into the Omega over the F70. The Omega really locks on to coins well. Great display as well.

Feel free to call me with questions or for a great deal! Bart
