Well, so much for hunting that old church!! I got there about 9:30 and there was a guy there just getting ready to leave. I asked him if it would be okay to metal detect there around the church and he said it was fine with him. I was there maybe fifteen minutes and the neighbor across the street came over and he was not very nice to say the least! He was a big burley guy and even though I said that a guy who had just left the church told me it was okay this guy didn't want to hear anything about it. I wasn't going to argue with him and said I would get a hold of the pastor of the church and if he said it was okay to detect then I would be back. I found three wheat pennies before I got run off thought. Two were 1910's and in the same hole and the other one was a 1920............
Didn't get completely skunked. I left there and went to Bangor and hit some playgrounds. Got about $7 in clad, two small gold bracelets and a watch....
Nothing really worth posting, but at least I got out and swung my coil and it was a beautiful day to boot..........
