Nice to see Archaeologists and Metal Detectorists working together, instead of fighting with one another.
 
Yes and if you think Europe looks desirable to Americans. Imagine how it looks to us Ozzies. Our native history doesnt even extend to a straw hut let alone anything made of metal.

If your 6" down in Oz, your finding stuff from settlement. *sigh*
 
Nice to see a find reported and both the land owner and detectorist compensated at fair market price for their efforts. The land owner for allowing the man to hunt and the detectorist for spending his time searching.

If we had a system like this we wouldn't see articles like the one in the Relics and Bottle Hunting Forum about pot hunters.
