In between showers today, hit a tot lot that I hadn't been to for a couple of weeks. Although tot lots are quite easy for recovering coins as most are shallow and lock on pretty good, this one yielded me 9 quarters, 6 dimes, 23 nickels, 3 zincs and a nickel reading junker ring. None of the nickels were more then 4" deep in the wood chips, but I was getting readings from 54/55 to 61/62. Some no doubt were slanted and on edge, but that is a bigger spread on numbers then I am accustomed to recovering nickels at. The 3 and 4 inchers seemed to give the high readings. I was using the 10" coil with 75 sen. 16 disc. g b of 82 and d3 tones. HH jim tn
