Dave, with many machines as the discrimination is increased there is a corresponding loss of depth (to varying degrees, amongst different units). Lets theoretically assume that the soil is of moderate/high mineralization/magnetite levels. Nothing severe about the soil.
Ques #1 - Does the Omega lose depth as the disc is increased in-ground? If it does lose depth as disc increases, then the following question.
Ques #2 - If the disc knob on the Omega is set to 1 (its lowest disc) and notching is implemented, does the Omega retain its Disc 1 depth capability, even though discrimination is taking place through the notching process?
Ques #3 - Let's say the screwcap notch is the only notch activated. This is theoretically assuming the Omega loses more depth, the higher one goes up in the disc levels. Does activating only that one higher level disc notch cause the machine to lose same depth as if all the notches preceding the screwcap notch had been activated?
Thank you
