Omega ID numbers...

Went detecting the other day and decided to dig a few '99' IDs. All turned out to be cans or pieces of cans. I didn't dig a few deeper ones which also gave a '99' ID. Are there any good targets ever found which registers '99'?

John, the only 99 reading on my Omega that is good, is a silver dollar. And the 99 reading for the dollar is only with the DD coils. The concentric coil reads the dollar lower than 99. A really deep non-ferrous target can read all over the place like a piece of ferrous junk with junky sounding audio too, but the 99 is not there. But keep in mind that co-located ferrous/non-ferrous targets can produce the 99 reading.
Do some bench testing with various older/newer bottlecaps in various stages of decomposition & coins close to each other. It's too difficult to explain the signal nuances in a post.

I have an omega with stock coil. I have had the same issue, 99 is always a beer/soda can for me. I recently found a 1903 half dollar and unidentified silver quarter which were stuck together, they ID'ed at 91. It takes a pretty big target to get a 99 reading on mine.
