Once again the E-Trac finds coins other machines miss

Hi, all:

I live two blocks from an old school that was built in 1912. Last year was the last class held there due to a new school being built. It has a large play ground area. I've hunted it a lot over the past four years. A constant renewed soureof clad coins and the occassional old coin. I hunted one particular 100 foot by 100 foot area last Spring with my F 70 and found a number of coins. Last Summer I picked up one of the new Whit'es Vision machine and rehunted the same area and found more coins. Both times I gridded the area off and covered it thoroughly. This past Fall I purchased a new E-Trac and yesterday hit the same area once again. I didn't find any old coins, but I did find 26 clad coins. All but one were in the one to three inch range. The one exception was a five inch deep nickle. All should have been no problem for either of the first two machines, but they were missed. I'm careful with my detecting to overlap my swings and take my time to cover an area. I know I don't get everything, but twenty six shallow coins in a 100 square foot area tells me once again, the E-Trac is simply the best coin machine on the market, today. It will find coins other machines will miss. I've found this to be true on more than one occassion whee I've rehunted area and found lots of missed coins.

Thanks for lookin' and keep on diggin'

PS: I no longer own the F 70 or Vision, for obvious reasons.

I did the same thing today myself. Found 32 pennies 2 dimes and a 1948 nickel in another patch of grass about the same size as yours at my old high school. I've hit this place at least 3 times with the X70 or X705 last summer. They were ringing out nicely but had a lot of trash around them. I was using the X8 Sunray coil. Two of the pennies were wheats and were only 2" deep! I'm gonna try out the X12 coil later this week after school is out. By next Sunday I should have the 10X12 SEF I just ordered and we'll see what it brings to the surface. My old high school was built on about 20 acres, I haven't scratched the surface yet. I'm positive it has never been hunted before either. When I got ready to leave today I ended up at the practice football field......I smiled at that venture:clap:

That is the first 3 things that impressed me with the E-Trac, separation, better separation and even better separation! I like many others was impressed with the lightening speed of the F75 but I was going back over sites I had hunted to the point of no good signals for an hour at a time with the F75 and finding several nice old coins at the 4'-6" range with the E-Trac.It was just unmasking coins right and left.I was using my all metal PI pocket uniprobe and would find several rusty nails and or other iron trash in the same 6" or smaller hole with the coins. And this was in the factory coin mode no less with the stock 11" coil. And I did not have to move at a snails pace to get those results either,Ray.
