One lousy hunt. Almost ashamed to mention it..

Went to one of my favorite haunts and hunted for nearly two hours and left with a lousy $1.26 plus I left a bunch of pennies behind. What really pizzes me off - I used to go to this spot years back and leave with $6.00 to $8.00. One time my buddy and I hunted it and I found $7.50 just under one tree. He hunted the open area and found about $6.90. Now one is lucky to find 1/10th that amount. Just too many tectors out there. Everybody and their dog has one. I'm going to have to hunt up new sites, probably out of town, as all my old favorites are drying up to nothing.

I used to hunt this one grade school where I was guaranteed $5.00 to $7.00 every time I hit it. Now I'm lucky if I can find fifty cents. Really getting aggravating. I had several sites like that and now the results are all the same - CRAPPY.

Yeh I know how ya feel Bill. I got me 2 quarters 1 dime and 2 kids tokens today, which man, I thought was some old mexican 1800's coin at first. And a big ole bullet with the 2500. My buddy was flickin bedrock with his fingers next to me the other day while I was using the Scorpion and he found a tiny .2 gram nugget...aahhh right next to me. I waved the Scorp over it and it hit it with a nice tone. But he got to it first....so much for needing a tector.

Hey guys, maybe nobodys been out to lose stuff this winter. Weather breaks maybe things will get better.

I don't get up tight about clad, it has always been a second or third choice for me. Now if the gov. brought out a five dollar coin, it would be more interesting. I can understand your frustration Willy. You have seen the numbers decline before your eyes. That must be frustrating.

The schools are going pretty much money-free these days. Now kids put their lunch purchases on their account that the parents keep filled.
If I find a coin newer than 1995 I am really surprised,
Thank goodness those metal bands on pencils last forever and really make a detector chime. I get plenty of excercise digging those up.

Yeah, schools are all converting to online money and checks... Not much clad to be found.

I know exactly how you feel Bill! Have you been wondering why I haven't been postin' much. There ain't much to find! Took the Ace out a few days back (working 4 ten hour shifts now instead of the usual 5 eight hour ones). All I found was a lousy 20 cents! There's been an increase in directorists in town. Mostly they don't work, so I don't get much of a go. There are a couple of juicy spots out of town, one 40kms out, the others are much further out, so my hunts are going to be less frequent.
Mick Evans.

Sorry to hear that bud but guess it's the wave of the future in some areas. Sure getting thin around here.
