I have hunted this site a Numbers of times. I found some nice coins , nothing great. I have a Mine-lab Safari . Most of the times I hunted it on High Trash from 12 to 16 sensitivity and looking for the conductive targets, in the upper 30s. or drop down to see if I can get some rings. What would you fellas suggest, I am going out there in the morning. I have a feeling I left something good behind.

Jim

Sounds like a candidate to clean up all the trash and make some nice finds.

I went back tried everything, high trash, low trash, coin mod. and all metal. I found coins on both. I found 4 coins. I cant tell you how many times I went over the same areas in the past. If I go back tomorrow, I will probably find more. They are not silver, just current coins. What they say about slow and low is the key. It gives me confidence to keep searching my average every day hunt areas, like parks and places that we all have access to. There is a lot of stuff left behind, there is no way you can hunt a place out.

Absolute truth there, jim. I still hunt a local park that has been hammered for years. I once followed behind 2(!) very experienced detectorists at a schoolyard the next day and found 2 silver rings at 2-3". I don't think I am better than them, I think soil and electromagnetic conditions are constantly changing.
It aint hunted out until you sift everything down to bedrock. And then theres always fossils.......

Went back to the old school house after they had an October Fest. I thought I would find up to date coins, maybe a ring if I were lucky. My brother found about forty cents and I found the best Indian Head I ever found. 1893, in great shape. I guess they didn't get drunk enough.

Sounds like a small coil would be a big help - the 5" to 7" Excellerator & Sunray coils are killer around old buildings !
