Thanks so much for the video, was just like an early Christmas present for me.

Thanks for the video. Very informative. I use to repair those pick and place machine years ago. Brought back memories.

So much care and quality that goes into every Tesoro metal detector.I hope Tesoro will continue to grow, and build great detectors in the future. Thanks for the vid,it was fun!. :)

One of the great things about this hobby is you can get American made products. Not that products made else where are inferior. I just like to know that when you buy from Tesoro the money, jobs, and knowledge stay in America. Keep up the good work Tesoro.

Thank you for the video. Please forgive me for what I say next. But I found it odd that one of the Vice Presidents would show up in a T-shirt for a video of the company/factory. I was kind of shocked at how small of an building/operation they have, or was this a smaller version of a larger factory somewhere else? I will aways have my Golden uMax and already purchased 5.75 concentric coil for it. I had my eyes on the Tejon, Vaquero, Sand Shark and DeLeon so is another Tesoro unit in my future? Time will tell.

It's a family run operation where everyone gets in on the action. No reason for a zoot suit and tie if your working. It's a small factory not a bank, lawyers office etc. where you can dress informal and be comfortable. They are building small electronic devices, not autos, so there is no need for a 5 acre building and huge machinery...............what they do have is expensive machinery. The videos also do not show you the entire inside of the Tesoro factory, just a portion. Apparently the building size is just perfect for their operation. At least it's bigger than a boiler room.

Enjoy your Tesoro, it would seem Tesoro workers and the company itself has pride in the products they produce to give you a quality product and service.

I understand what you say. No reason not to be comfortable while working. Being an aircraft maintainer in the U.S.A.F. for 16 years I understand that mentality. I was just saying that for filming it would be more beneficial to appear more professional by wearing at minimum business casual. If I am turning wrenches and being filmed then it should be ok to be in coveralls. But if I am just explaining my job and the ins/outs of it, then I should expect to dress in at minimum the Uniform of the Day (UOD) which for me is ABU's. I applaud Tesoro for being a family run business in the USA and surviving. I hope Tesoro is around for a very long time. Good luck to them, you and everyone. HH to all

That was a great show.. The only company that I know that would do that.. Thanks TESORO... KEN

Interesting video but horrible production, from audio, cuts, and a big bulbus mic with a cord....lol. c'mon guys, Tesoro really needs some help with marketing in this 21st century of ours. That was almost as bad as their free email address. I would have never admitted on camera I was in charge of marketing.

Robert made the latest YouTube production from Terry Solomon's You Tube video upload from 2010 made from
sample clips from "Prospecting America, Episode 48: The Tesoro Factory Tour," featuring Perry Massie, Vince and James Gifford. A tour of Tesoro's Prescott, Arizona facility. Produced by Joey Wilson, this episode originally aired on the Outdoor Channel in 2004.

That was the factory 9-10 years ago.
