Thanks. I definitly have some hammered, but not hunted out spots. First time user of the XP line and have been "chomping at the bit" on the Orx. Interesting to say the least! Any suggestions on settings will certainly be appreciated. I mainly hunt Civil War relics here in Central Va with the occasional coin finds. I'll be doing some testing of different targets to get an idea of the sounds and readouts. Plenty of time for that until the fall season gets here. Good luck hunting. Give it time and learn it and you will be absolutely amazed at how much stuff you start finding even in those hunted out hammered spots you gave up on a long time ago.
Thanks for the tip. I was thinking of using my Garrett wireless headphones. I have the transmitter, and a 1/8 to 1/4 headphone adapter. Hopefully that'll work.88junior said:I use coin deep 15.6 khz disc just enough to knock out a small nail and recovery speed on 2 and it screams on buttons and bullets. My soil is bad and I have to ground balance pretty often. If you don't like the back phones get you a set of the Quest phones that go over the ear they have great audio and fit comfortably on your head.

They do not stretch to be worn from the top of your head like normal headphones, and if you put them on from the backside of your neck, if you take a step they fall off.
What is the trick?

My favorite trick is getting the headphone jack so's I can use my own. The stock headphones (in my opinion) are cheaply made.BobOso said:I have a question about the headset.
