When I got the new x70 Tuesday, I was busy and could spend only a few minutes looking it over. Around 2am that night (Wed Morning), it got the best of me and I just HAD to take it out in the yard to turn it on and give it a shot. Immediately, I popped a penny out of the ground, but it was like 21 degrees outside and I was QUICK about getting back inside. Planned to hunt an 1890's site tomorrow, but turns out that it's supposed to be a nasty, cold, blustery, wintry mix of a day tomorrow. :-( I went over to my mother and daddy's this morning, took the x70 with me and headed out to the back side of their place to detect for a few minutes while the sleet was coming down HARD. Found a few little odds and ends; and old sales tax token, a lock of some kind, two wheat pennies, and a whole bunch of trash. It's gonna take a while to learn the machine but I believe I will really like it once I do. It was a bit confusing at times for me today though. I seem to be getting the same signals for trash as well as the good stuff. Signals sound the same, numbers are the same.... Guess it'll just take some time to get used to this one and learn all about it.
