2 Much Trash

Well-known member
I've not been able to find much info on how the Outlaw performs as a relic hunting unit. Any feedback you guys might have would be greatly appreciated.:detecting:
Thanks, Bill

I'm not sure of the exact deffinition relic, but I have found a lot of nice items. I have tried it in some old iron infested spots and turned up some coins and butons amoungst the trash. So far I am loving my outlaw.

I was out for a couple hours today as well with the Outlaw and the 8" stock coil. Pretty stable ground in my area but lots of junk on this particular hill.
The thing on the right is what I think is a kid's rodeo belt buckle. It is not magnetic and found it at 5 inches.

The darker (early 70's) pennies were all found at 5 inches at well. The odd thing was the more modern dollar and 2 dollar coins are pretty new and yet they were 7 inches down. Almost gave up digging. The only thing i can think of is we had a pretty dry summer and they must have gotten eaten up by cracks in the ground. They were all together in one bunch so it hit pretty hard.

On the junk side, I have to agree about the Outlaw really liking old bottle caps. After digging 10 of them from 2 to 6 inches, I think I am getting close to figuring out how to discriminate them out. I am adding them and some other junk to my test garden and hopefully will be able to avoid some of these in the future.
