Pairing problem

My wife's Legend headphones crapped out and I bought a replacement. Can't get them to pair even after going through the menu to the "FD, press pinpoint" to remove old pairing. I noticed an intermittently flashing exclamation point on the screen between the Bluetooth and Headphones icons.

The new headphones pair instantly to a phone when tested so, assuming the problem is in the detector.

Has anyone had this and found a solution?

You have to do a full reset of the Legend I believe.
Or erase the last connection.
Don't remember how to do that one.
